i-CAT users Meeting

How many of you would be interested in having our i-CAT users meeting the day after the AADMRT Spring seminar? Before you answer, note that the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) will be having their annual meeting in Las Vegas during the same weekend. That means Arun from Imaging Sciences and Chester from Dolphin Imaging will not be available as they will be attending the AAO. In other words, it will be strictly a study group meeting of i-CAT users. The format would be more of a round table open discussion of marketing, implant protocols, orthodontic applications, problem solving etc. A representative from Sequence Dental Laboratory in Reno, NV. might be available to discuss iDENT protocols for implants. Sequence specializes in various systems for the precise placement of dental implants that is prosthetically driven.
We will require a meeting room located near the John Wayne/Santa Ana Airport that has audio video hook-ups and food. The total cost needs to be divided by the people who attend. If the group is small enough, perhaps a local imaging center might be able to accommodate the meeting, thus reducing the amount. Considering the rapid changes in software technology and the impending release of other cone beam systems, it seems prudent to get all i-CAT users to the highest level possible. If anyone is having difficulty with basic software, hardware, printing, and marketing or if you have specific questions, this would be the ideal time to get your questions answered by other i-CAT users. I have a temporary hold on a meeting room at the Marriot Hotel within a half mile from the John Wayne/Santa Ana airport. Please respond now to the comment section if you will or will not attend.
It would have been great to obtain the latest information straight from ISI and Dolphin. The annual AADMRT meeting is October 19-21 in Monterey CA, which will be preceded with the i-CAT users group. Dividing the six month time span between meetings brings us to August. Most imaging centers are busiest during this summer month, would you consider having another i-CAT users group at that time too? Perhaps we might be able to schedule a day where Arun and Chester would be able to attend. What are you thoughts? Until that time, please use the i-CAT blog! Beginner or advanced, it really does not matter. Remember, the only bad question is the question not asked.

Eric,

I would love to attend an I-CAT study group the day after the AADMRT spring 1-day, but I cannot make it. DDI is having a booth at the AAO that same weekend, and I am going to help with it. We did a booth at last years AAO in S.F. and it was a great success.

I hope you get a good turnout for the users meeting, there is so much exiting things happening in imaging right row, I can hardly stand it! I hope to catch up with you all in the fall. Keep posting here at the blog everyone. Marcelle, you did a great write-up on the Dolphin users meeting, thank you.

BTW, Daniel Llopp from Sequence Dental is a great guy and a good speaker. If you can get him or Zachary to do a presentation on I-Dent for your meeting that would be great. Daniel and I have been working together for about a year, and if you can start using him, he will be a good advocate for your lab.

Count me in. We could also try a restaurant. The Claim Jumper by my lab has a banquet room. Sunday might be a little hard because of brunch business. Let me know if you want some help researching places.

Craig, we will miss your vast knowledge of i-CAT information and I also appreciate your quick response. Thank you for the Sequence information, I have already had contact with Daniel and Zachary regarding the iDENT system using the i-CAT scan & have already requested their presence at the i-CAT users group meeting.
Matt, the i-CAT users group meeting location will depend on the response we get. My intention is to have sufficient room for everyone, I just need to know how many will attend. Thank you for your kind offer to assist.
If we use the Marriott, there will be a cost involved. The room alone is $500.
Okay everyone! Please respond now whether you will be there or not. The complementary room hold will last for a only another day or so. Thank you!

Buon giorno Eric,
Count me in and if there is a cost for the room I am sure that all of us can contribute; like all the other study clubs.
Ciao

Peggy and Laura will be able to attend both meetings, but may need rides depending on where the users meeting is. BTW what are the exact dates for the fall meeting? The news letter says September, but I have read here that it's in October.
