What version of Xoran i-Cat

I am posting this because I just spoke with Don Croall and he informed me that he has version 3.1.62 of Xoran. I presently am using 2.0.21. Anyone out there using 3.1.62? I am looking to use an external hard drive to store my patients scans and he told me that his version makes it easier to move information more efficiently.

3.1.62 has a bug in the viewing protocols section.
whenever you create a new viewing protocol it forgets the content of the previous one!
so anybody who like working with different viewing protocols use the 3.1.59

creating different VP allows you to tilt/rotate the volume without loosing any of your previous work,
which is a huge advantage!!

in these versions you can move the measurements away from the slice.
set a new distance tool color as default.

Samantha at ISI does not want to upgrade me from 2.0.21 to 3.1.62 because she is concerned about my archive files (we have alot). She is going to do some testing to make sure it works and we are going to do it the first of April. Has anyone else had any archive issues with the new version? My archive file is 156gb so I am very interested in the newest version because the files are smaller.

I sure hope someone is preparing a presentation on this issue for the user meeting in a couple of weeks.

We don't keep any files on the acquisition. Is there a differnce in the reports? Like lingual and buccal markers? ISI seems to be difficult to get a hold of.
